"I've Taken Enough."

"I stopped by the Ash Park food box in Coatesville this morning to drop off some items. When I arrived, I saw a man digging through the trash. When I got out of my car he got on his bike to leave. I asked him to wait a minute, as I had some things for him. As I was stocking the box he picked a few items and turned to leave. I tried to give him another thing of breakfast bars and he said, "No, I have taken enough. Someone else might need them”. 

"I found it amazing that one minute he is digging through the trash and the next he is thinking of others. He told me how appreciative he was for all the people who put things in the box. This is how he survives. He gave me a hug and said “you folks are angels”.
Villagers...this is why we do it!!!
I wish I had a way to find him and give him more!!!!"

The Village has 5 open access free food boxes (and three more coming this year!) along the Rt.30 corridor in Chester County. The community is welcome to stock them with extra food anytime, just as wonderful souls like this man are welcome to take from them at anytime.
